Sephora seeks an Assistant Store Manager for its Issaquah Commons location to support store operations, lead and develop the team, and elevate the client experience. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role requiring availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays; the annual base salary is $80,169–$88,350, with bonus eligibility and salary depending on qualifications, experience, skills, education, credentials, business factors, and geographic location.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, deliver exceptional client experiences, and drive sales and profitability.
- Lead, coach, inspire, and develop the team to exceed performance goals while fostering growth, development, and accountability.
- Attract, hire, and onboard new talent, building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects Sephora’s values.
- Provide ongoing learning through real-time coaching, actionable feedback, and support to maximize associates’ potential.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback and mentorship to support team members’ career development and engagement.
- Deliver outstanding client service, resolve concerns, and drive engagement through loyalty programs and personalized experiences.
- Maintain an immaculate, visually inspiring store and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and brand guidelines.
- Optimize inventory and staffing resources, adapt to changing priorities, and pursue business growth.
- Lead the store as a supportive community for employees and clients.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success as a retail assistant manager in fast-paced, high-volume environments, driving results and team performance through hands-on leadership.
- Ability to recruit, inspire, and develop talent to achieve results and foster an energetic, collaborative atmosphere.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including building trust, giving constructive feedback, and facilitating open dialogue.
- Commitment to team development through tailored mentorship, real-time coaching, and actionable feedback.
- Experience creating memorable, personalized client experiences that build loyalty while balancing operational priorities and driving business growth.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend and stretch to stock shelves, stand and walk the sales floor for an entire shift, and work in a fragrance-filled environment.
