Sephora is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for its Rivers Edge store in Indianapolis to lead daily operations, develop and coach the team, drive sales and profitability, and deliver exceptional client experiences. This is a regular, permanent, full-time, salaried position requiring on-site work and availability for evenings, weekends and holidays.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations and deliver exceptional client experiences while driving sales and profitability.
- Lead, coach, inspire and empower the team to achieve performance goals, develop professionally and remain accountable.
- Recruit, hire and onboard talent, building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects Sephora’s values and delivers its service standards.
- Foster continuous learning through real-time coaching, actionable feedback and ongoing support.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback and mentorship to support team members’ development and engagement.
- Deliver outstanding client service, resolve concerns and drive engagement through loyalty programmes and personalized experiences.
- Maintain an immaculate, visually inspiring store and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and brand guidelines.
- Optimize inventory and staffing resources, adapting to changing priorities and opportunities.
- Lead the store as a supportive community, building confidence among the team and positively impacting clients.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success as a retail assistant manager in fast-paced, high-volume environments, driving results and elevating team performance through hands-on leadership.
- Strong ability to recruit, inspire and develop talent to deliver results and foster an energetic, collaborative atmosphere.
- Proven ability to build trust, clarity and enthusiasm across teams and with clients, deliver constructive feedback and facilitate open dialogue.
- Commitment to empowering teams through tailored mentorship, real-time coaching and actionable feedback, fostering learning and accountability.
- Experience creating memorable, personalized client experiences that build loyalty while balancing operational priorities and driving business growth.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend and stretch to stock shelves, stand and walk the sales floor for the entire shift, and work in a fragrance-filled environment.
- Ability to handle and apply products to clients, with or without accommodation.
