Sephora is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Houston (River Oaks). Lead store operations, coach teams, and drive sales at the Houston, TX location.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day store operations to ensure seamless execution of sales, client experience, and visual standards.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the sales team through real-time feedback, structured performance appraisals, and targeted learning opportunities.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain diverse talent aligned with Sephora’s service and cultural standards.
- Drive sales, conversion, and loyalty program engagement through clienteling, personalized service, and operational follow-through.
- Manage inventory and staffing resources to optimize productivity and respond to shifting retail priorities.
- Resolve client concerns with tact and speed, preserving brand reputation and fostering repeat business.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and visual merchandising guidelines to maintain a pristine store environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of retail experience with demonstrated success in assistant store management or comparable leadership roles in high-volume environments.
- Proven ability to recruit, develop, and inspire teams to achieve sales and service targets.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a history of delivering constructive coaching.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; ability to perform on-site duties at the River Oaks store.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to apply beauty products to clients (with or without accommodation).

Minimum 5 years of retail experience, including prior assistant store manager or comparable supervisory responsibility in a fast-paced, high-volume store.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field preferred.
