Sephora — Assistant Store Manager, Hamburg (Spitalerstraße). Full-time role driving store operations, sales KPIs and team development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day store operations to ensure exceptional customer experience, adherence to visual merchandising standards and high levels of product availability.
- Drive sales performance against targets through active coaching, floor leadership and monitoring of retail KPIs (conversion rate, items per basket, average basket, customer satisfaction).
- Manage team productivity, engagement and scheduling; support recruitment, onboarding and performance conversations to maintain staff retention and low sickness rates.
- Oversee stock management: replenishment, warehousing, inventory counts and preparation of products for sale; ensure timely execution of merchandising updates and store conversions.
- Deliver beauty services and trainings, support beauty classes and short services across departments to elevate advisory quality and service metrics.
- Maintain store presentation and housekeeping, operate the cash register when required, and perform additional tasks related to daily retail operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in retail, beauty, cosmetics, fashion or a closely related sector, with supervisory or customer-facing responsibilities.
- Proven customer advisory skills and experience driving sales performance through coaching and frontline leadership.
- Strong organisational skills with a track record of effective stock and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset; ability to motivate and develop store teams.
- Fluent in English and German (or fluent in English and the local/native language), with the cultural awareness to work in a diverse environment.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in retail or the beauty sector, including frontline customer advisory and some supervisory responsibilities; previous assistant manager or team-leader experience preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in retail, cosmetics or a related field preferred. Further training in sales, cosmetology or management is an advantage.
