Sephora hiring Assistant Store Manager in Doncaster (Melbourne), Australia on fixed-term contract until Feb 2027. Lead team, drive sales & operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in leading the team to deliver exceptional client-centric service and build brand loyalty
  • Utilize operational data to develop business growth strategies in collaboration with the Store Manager and District Manager
  • Drive a selling culture across the team to meet KPIs and achieve sales targets whilst promoting Sephora's values
  • Monitor store profitability, shrinkage percentages, sales conversion, and forecast revenue to maximize profit margins
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and operational incentives, including brand events and staff training programs
  • Oversee visual merchandising changes to maintain store cleanliness and brand consistency
  • Develop and coach team members to raise performance and capability, providing feedback and career development opportunities
  • Monitor key performance indicators and support the identification and development of internal talent
  • Maintain a strong, inclusive store culture where team members feel valued, recognized, and enabled to succeed
  • Manage flexible scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak trading hours (Thursday to Sunday) and evening/late-night availability

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in retail or store line management
  • Previous retail management experience at a large-format retailer or multi-site operation
  • Proven track record in delivering excellent client service and experiential retail
  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, identify, and inspire talented employees
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and business management capabilities
  • Ability to influence and motivate team members at all organizational levels
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, before/after store hours, and evenings
