The Assistant Store Manager leads store operations and team development at Sephora in Cedar Hill, partnering with the Store Manager to drive sales, profitability, and exceptional client experiences. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site, salaried position requiring availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, deliver exceptional client experiences, and drive sales and profitability.
  • Coach, inspire, and empower the team to exceed performance goals, fostering growth, development, and accountability.
  • Attract, hire, and onboard talent, building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects Sephora’s values and delivers its service standards.
  • Promote continuous learning through real-time coaching, actionable feedback, and ongoing support.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback and mentorship to support team members’ development and engagement.
  • Deliver outstanding service, resolve client concerns, and drive engagement through loyalty programmes and personalized experiences.
  • Maintain an immaculate, visually inspiring store and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and brand guidelines.
  • Optimize inventory and staffing resources, adapting to changing priorities and opportunities.
  • Lead the store as a supportive community, building team confidence and positively impacting clients.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success as a retail assistant manager in fast-paced, high-volume environments, driving results and improving team performance through hands-on leadership.
  • Strong ability to recruit, inspire, and develop talent, deliver results, and foster an energetic, collaborative atmosphere.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a record of building trust, clarity, and enthusiasm among teams and clients.
  • Ability to deliver constructive feedback and facilitate open dialogue to support growth and high performance.
  • Commitment to empowering teams through tailored mentorship, real-time coaching, and actionable feedback.
  • Experience creating memorable, personalized client experiences that build loyalty while balancing operational priorities and driving business growth.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend and stretch to stock shelves, and stand and walk the sales floor for the entire shift.
  • Ability to work in a fragrance-filled environment and handle and apply products to clients, with or without accommodation.
