Assistant Store Manager position at Sephora's Bochum store, reporting to the Store Manager. The role encompasses people management, commercial performance oversight, and operational excellence across a prestige beauty retail environment. Responsibilities include team leadership and coaching, achievement of sales targets, customer service excellence, visual merchandising updates, staff planning, inventory management, and adherence to Sephora's operational audit standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and coach store employees through regular appraisals and training sessions
- Drive monthly and annual sales targets with year-on-year growth accountability
- Maintain excellent customer service standards and align team performance with customer expectations
- Conduct morning briefings and shift handovers to ensure operational continuity
- Organize beauty classes, in-store animations, and weekend looks to create memorable customer experiences
- Update and implement visual merchandising displays and promotional activations
- Create daily staff schedules and coordinate zoning to optimize floor coverage
- Execute inventory audits to maintain optimal stock availability and product rotation
- Manage complete merchandise lifecycle from receiving through storage, booking, returns, and tester upkeep
- Oversee store opening and closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation
- Deputize for the Store Manager during absences and ensure compliance with Sephora audit protocols
- Monitor key performance indicators including customer satisfaction, staff engagement, stock efficiency, and retail metrics (MS, IPT, AVB, CR)
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–4 years of retail experience, preferably in prestige beauty
- Proven management experience with demonstrated team leadership capability

- Structured organizational skills with hands-on floor presence
