Sephora seeks an Assistant Store Manager for its Albuquerque store to support operations, lead and develop the team, elevate client experience, and drive sales and profitability. This is a permanent, full-time, salaried exempt role requiring on-site work and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to support smooth daily operations, deliver exceptional client experiences, and drive sales and profitability in a fast-paced environment.
- Coach, inspire, and empower the team to exceed expectations and performance goals, fostering growth, development, and accountability.
- Attract, hire, and onboard talent, building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects Sephora’s values and delivers signature service.
- Promote continuous learning through real-time coaching, actionable feedback, and ongoing support to maximize associates’ potential.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide actionable feedback and mentorship to support team members’ career development and engagement.
- Deliver outstanding service, resolve client concerns, and drive engagement through loyalty programs and personalized experiences.
- Maintain a visually inspiring, immaculate store environment and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and brand guidelines.
- Optimize inventory and staffing resources, adapting to shifting priorities and opportunities to drive results.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success as a retail assistant manager in fast-paced, high-volume environments, driving results and improving team performance through hands-on leadership.
- Ability to recruit, inspire, and develop talent, deliver strong results, and foster an energetic, collaborative atmosphere.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including building trust and clarity across teams and clients, delivering constructive feedback, and facilitating open dialogue.
- Commitment to team development through tailored mentorship, real-time coaching, and actionable feedback, fostering learning and accountability.
- Experience creating memorable, personalized client experiences that build loyalty while balancing operational priorities and driving business growth.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend and stretch to stock shelves, stand and walk the sales floor for an entire shift, and work in a fragrance-filled environment.
- Ability to handle and apply products to clients, with or without accommodation.
