Sephora Canada — Toronto: Assistant Merchant, dotcom Canada (Contract) to support e‑commerce merchandising and brand partnerships for Sephora.ca.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with brand teams, retail merchants and inventory planners to align cross‑channel strategies and maximize sales for an assigned portfolio.
- Continuously analyze dotcom performance; deliver actionable insights, adjust merchandising tactics in real time and support weekly/monthly business recaps.
- Plan and execute brand promotional strategies tied to launches, hero SKUs and seasonal/category moments to drive traffic and conversion.
- Own DotCA product assortments: manage SKU mix, conduct assortment and SKU productivity analyses, and identify opportunities to differentiate the online assortment.
- Manage new SKU launches and ongoing product page optimizations, coordinating setup, content production and QA across site, mobile and email.
- Lead ad hoc reporting and special projects to support category growth and site merchandising initiatives.
- Collaborate with Inventory & Planning to forecast newness, exclusives, limited editions and ensure promotional initiatives are supported by sufficient stock.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years' experience in a retail buying office or merchandising function with strong merchandising fundamentals.
- E‑commerce or Direct‑to‑Consumer experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple product launches and promotional campaigns concurrently.
- Strong analytical aptitude with experience translating data into clear recommendations and storytelling for senior stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build productive cross‑functional relationships.
Skills
Experience
2–3 years in a retail buying office or merchandising role; prior e‑commerce or Direct‑to‑Consumer experience is preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 66,500 to CAD 74,300 per annum.
