Sephora seeks an Assistant Manager, Retail Operations in Singapore and Malaysia to drive operational excellence across 100+ stores and lead retail KPI optimization.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee store operations to ensure compliance with Sephora standards and audit requirements across Singapore and Malaysia retail network
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives across the retail network to improve store productivity, execution consistency, and customer experience
  • Partner with Store Managers and retail leadership teams to continuously improve store operational processes, workforce efficiency, and operational standards
  • Monitor operational compliance and execution standards across stores, ensuring alignment with Sephora policies and operational guidelines
  • Identify operational gaps, process inefficiencies, and business risks, implementing solutions to improve retail effectiveness and agility
  • Support simplification and optimization of retail operational processes to enable store teams to focus on customers and selling
  • Analyze store operational and commercial performance trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to retail leadership
  • Monitor key retail performance indicators including productivity, operational compliance, customer experience, and operational effectiveness
  • Lead and support retail operational projects including new store openings, relocations, renovations, systems implementations, and regional initiatives
  • Drive change management and operational adoption for new retail initiatives, systems, tools, and ways of working
  • Oversee store maintenance planning, operational execution, and budget tracking across the retail network
  • Monitor customer feedback trends and operational service standards to enhance the end-to-end customer journey
  • Coach and develop Retail Operations Executive team members to strengthen operational capabilities and execution standards
  • Foster strong collaboration and alignment between store teams and cross-functional stakeholders

Qualifications

  • University diploma or degree
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a customer and commercial-focused retail environment (beauty or fashion preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience in retail operations role
  • Store management experience advantageous
  • MS Office proficiency with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Service-oriented with demonstrable passion for the retail industry
  • Comprehensive product, retail, and industry understanding
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with positive mindset
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and attention to detail

Experience
