Sephora Collection seeks an Assistant Manager, Product Marketing in Shanghai to lead category marketing strategy, omnichannel launches, and cross-functional execution.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop 3-year marketing plans and annual marketing calendars for assigned product categories in collaboration with regional headquarters
- Lead omnichannel launch strategies incorporating marketing mix, digital, retail animation, CRM, and promotional plans to build consumer engagement and achieve sales and margin targets
- Execute hot products marketing strategies and initiatives to accelerate brand growth
- Mobilize cross-functional teams across retail, supply chain, PR, design, CRM, legal, construction, and animation to execute category strategies and meet project deadlines
- Oversee supply chain forecasting for hot SKUs, newness, and animation activities to ensure adequate stock availability and seamless product launches
- Monitor sell-through forecasts and manage logistics to minimize depreciations and ensure timely resolution of QA issues
- Supervise training material adaptation and coordinate train-the-trainer (TTT) sessions to ensure field team product knowledge and brand favorability
- Manage new product registration and coordinate with legal teams to ensure launches align with marketing calendars and regulatory requirements
- Administer campaign budgets to optimize spending efficiency
- Conduct market and category analysis, including sell-through and competitive data, to identify trends and growth opportunities
- Review and approve creative materials (key visuals, animations, print, editorials, websites) to maintain brand image consistency across all channels
- Translate consumer feedback and market insights into brand marketing activities, leveraging CRM data and market research
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of product marketing experience in multinational companies within the cosmetics or FMCG industry
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking capabilities
- Demonstrated expertise in brand positioning and customer engagement strategy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams
- High standards of integrity and commitment to continuous improvement
- Fluent in English (French is advantageous but not required)
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field (MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus)
