Sephora Singapore seeks Assistant Manager, Inventory Optimization to lead regional stock analysis and vendor returns across SEA. Based in Singapore with minimal travel.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze inventory holdings (active, excess, discontinued stocks) across Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand to identify return opportunities and align with regional Depreciation targets
- Factor commercial variables including store openings, promotions, seasonality, product lifecycle, and market trends into inventory optimization recommendations
- Lead Return to Vendor (RTV) negotiations with brand partners to finalize returns agreements and implement markdown operations
- Collaborate with Regional Planning Team, Local Supply Chain, Logistics teams, and Regional Category Managers to develop and execute inventory reduction plans
- Partner with Logistics teams to ensure seamless physical execution of finalized vendor returns
- Deliver comprehensive reporting and analysis on RTV operations across the SEA region
- Define and monitor action plans to improve inventory processes, methods, and tools
- Foster cross-functional communication between internal departments and external brand partners to ensure timely returns completion
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Planning or Supply Chain roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced Excel proficiency; VBA, Power BI, and SAP experience advantageous
- Demonstrated stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration experience
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management capabilities
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Planning or Supply Chain management, with demonstrated expertise in inventory optimization, vendor negotiations, and cross-regional operations. Experience working in omni-channel retail or selective distribution environments strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
