Internship position at Sephora Collection focused on demand planning and sales forecasting. The successful candidate will analyze weekly sales forecasts, evaluate promotional impacts on inventory requirements, manage new product launches and limited-edition items, and collaborate with supply chain teams across markets. Key responsibilities include forecast accuracy analysis, data quality management, performance reporting, and continuous process improvement within the supply chain function.
Role & Responsibilities
- Determine and refine weekly sales forecasts by analyzing factors impacting revenue such as promotional events, economic conditions, and market seasonality
- Monitor forecast accuracy, identify contributing factors, and optimize sales forecasting models and methodologies
- Verify historical data integrity in systems and document exceptional sales events
- Develop inventory management strategies for discontinued or overstocked product lines
- Analyze promotional impact on sales and calculate required stock levels for planned marketing campaigns
- Manage new product and limited-edition item forecasts, monitor their performance across markets, and adjust replenishment to meet actual demand
- Identify and manage new product stock-outs
- Coordinate with local supply chain teams to share market intelligence, align sales forecasts with financial budgets, and simulate demand scenarios
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and overall supply chain efficiency
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree (M1 or M2) in business school with Supply Chain specialization
- Demonstrated analytical mindset with affinity for data, supply chain management, and IT systems
- Detail-oriented, responsive, and well-organized approach to work
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
