Sephora Canada (Montreal) seeks an Asset Protection Specialist to manage store CCTV, deter theft and support loss-prevention programs.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct visible floor surveillance and monitor live footage via the store CCTV system to identify, observe and deter theft or suspicious activity.
- Apprehend or coordinate with local authorities in accordance with applicable laws and Sephora procedures; ensure proper seizure and preservation of evidence.
- Prepare detailed incident reports related to theft, recovery of merchandise, accident investigations and internal audits.
- Provide witness testimony in criminal or civil proceedings when required on behalf of the company.
- Deliver loss-prevention training and onboarding to new hires and existing store staff to raise awareness and standardise procedures.
- Perform regular store audits, security checklist inspections and contribute to inventory preparation and control processes.
- Collaborate with store management and the district asset-protection lead to design and implement tailored loss-prevention plans across multiple locations.
- Maintain required minimum weekly hours and be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in asset protection or retail loss prevention.
- Satisfy and maintain any provincial or local licensing/permit requirements applicable to the role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, active listening and interviewing capability.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and operate across multiple stores within the market.
- Physical ability to work around fragranced products, lift approximately 20 kg and perform repetitive bending/stretching tasks.
