Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct active loss-prevention surveillance on the sales floor and via the CCTV system to identify, observe, deter and, when appropriate, apprehend individuals committing external theft.
- Adhere to all applicable laws and Sephora policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, evidence preservation and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations and audit findings; maintain accurate records for internal and legal use.
- Develop and sustain professional relationships with store leadership, District Loss Prevention Manager, local law enforcement, mall security and peer retailers.
- Testify in criminal or civil court proceedings when required and support internal investigative and disciplinary processes.
- Deliver new-hire and ongoing training to store teams to raise loss-prevention awareness and coach partners on in-the-moment techniques.
- Perform store self-audits, safety inspections and checklists; communicate findings and recommended corrective actions to store leadership and DLPM.
- Support inventory preparation and operational processes; collaborate on the development and execution of shrinkage prevention plans.
- Meet required weekly scheduling commitments (Full Time: 30–40 hours/week) and be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays; travel between market locations as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of asset protection / loss prevention experience in a retail environment (posting indicates a minimum of 3 years may be required by ATS for some hires).
- Satisfy and maintain all provincial or local licensing requirements where applicable.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays; ability to travel among multiple store locations in the market.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending/stocking tasks; able to work in fragrance-rich retail environment.

Experience
At least 1 year of retail asset protection or loss prevention experience is required; the ATS record for this posting also indicates a minimum 3 years may be sought for some candidates. Prior retail environment experience and familiarity with provincial licensing for loss prevention preferred.
