Asset Protection Partner at Sephora, Walnut Creek, CA. Full-time hourly role securing retail assets and maintaining store safety. $25–$29.50/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain strong store presence on the selling floor (75–80% of time) to deter theft, support service, and ensure environmental safety
- Lead and participate in asset protection meetings and training to reinforce safety protocols and loss prevention awareness
- Collaborate with store managers and district loss prevention leadership to align shrink reduction initiatives and safety strategies
- Use CCTV systems and reporting tools to identify, monitor, and investigate merchandise and asset losses
- De-escalate potentially volatile situations professionally while prioritizing customer experience and employee safety
- Execute regular audits and prepare detailed reports on asset protection activities for corporate review
- Adhere to all asset protection policies, compliance requirements, and licensing standards
- Support multiple store locations as directed and represent Sephora in legal proceedings if required
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention
- Solid understanding of retail operations, shrink dynamics, and safety protocols
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in conflict de-escalation and crisis communication
- Comfortable working with CCTV systems and loss prevention reporting platforms
