Sephora Asset Protection Partner in Victoria, BC—protect store assets and minimize loss through surveillance and theft prevention (CAD $25–$30/hr, full-time).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and monitor CCTV systems to identify, observe, and deter or apprehend individuals committing external theft
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and retail counterparts
  • Testify in court on behalf of the company in criminal or civil cases as required
  • Provide new hire and continuous employee training to maintain store loss prevention awareness
  • Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections and communicate findings to leadership and the District Loss Prevention Manager
  • Assist the store leadership team with inventory preparation and processes
  • Partner with stores and District Loss Prevention Management in developing and executing shrinkage prevention plans
  • Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable service to clients as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, provincial, and local laws and Sephora policies concerning apprehensions, searches, seizure, and evidence preservation

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment
  • Current and maintained licensing as required by the province of British Columbia or local jurisdiction
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques in real-time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and multiple store locations within the market
