Sephora Canada — Asset Protection Partner in Victoria, BC. Full-time loss prevention role (30–40 hrs/wk), CAD$25–30/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Protect store assets through proactive surveillance on the sales floor and monitoring of the CCTV system to identify, deter and apprehend external theft.
- Adhere to provincial laws and Sephora policies on apprehensions, search and seizure, preservation of evidence and testimony when required.
- Prepare detailed incident reports for thefts, recoveries, accident investigations and audit findings.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with store leadership, District Loss Prevention Manager, local law enforcement, mall security and neighbouring retailers.
- Deliver new-hire and ongoing loss-prevention training to store teams and provide in-the-moment coaching on shrinkage prevention techniques.
- Conduct store self-audits, checklists and safety inspections; communicate findings and support inventory preparation.
- Partner with store leadership and DLPM to design and implement shrinkage-prevention plans.
- Meet scheduled shift requirements and be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and across multiple locations within the market.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of asset protection/loss prevention experience in a retail environment; 3 years preferred.
- Satisfy and maintain any provincial or local licensing requirements for asset protection.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interviewing and interpersonal skills; ability to remain composed and provide effective coaching.
- Availability for flexible scheduling and assignment across multiple store locations.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform stocking-related movements.

Experience
1–3 years of retail asset protection or loss prevention experience, including conducting surveillance, investigations, inventory audits and working with law enforcement; experience testifying in court is an asset.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 25 to CAD 30 per hour.
