Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and via CCTV systems to identify, observe, and deter or apprehend individuals committing external theft
• Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers
• Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, communicating findings to store leadership and District Loss Prevention Manager
• Assist the store leadership team with inventory preparation, processing, and shrinkage prevention plan development and execution
• Provide new hire and ongoing employee training to maintain store loss prevention awareness and best practices
• Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable service to clients as needed
• Testify in court on behalf of the company in criminal or civil cases as summoned
• Maintain the required minimum number of weekly shifts and hours (30–40 hours per week for full-time positions)

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment
• Current and maintained licensing as required by province or local jurisdiction
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching in loss prevention techniques
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Availability to work at multiple locations within a market
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a fragrance-filled environment
