Asset Protection Partner at Sephora in Toronto, ON — protect store assets and prevent loss in a full-time retail security role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and monitor CCTV systems to identify, observe, and deter external theft
- Identify and apprehend individuals committing theft in accordance with legal and company policies
- Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers
- Testify in court on behalf of the company in criminal or civil cases as required
- Provide new hire and ongoing employee training on loss prevention awareness and techniques
- Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections
- Communicate audit findings to store leadership and the District Loss Prevention Manager
- Partner with stores and management in developing and executing shrinkage prevention plans
- Assist the leadership team with inventory preparation and process
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment
- All required licensing as mandated by the province or local jurisdiction
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel desirable
- Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work across multiple store locations within a market

Minimum 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 25 to CAD 30 per hour.
