Asset Protection Partner at Sephora Canada in Toronto—full-time loss prevention and store security role with CAD$25–$30/hr compensation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct floor and CCTV surveillance to identify, observe, and deter external theft
- Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits
- Adhere to all legal requirements and company policies regarding apprehensions, searches, seizures, and evidence preservation
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal leadership, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers
- Provide new hire and ongoing employee training on loss prevention awareness and techniques
- Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections
- Communicate audit findings to store leadership and District Loss Prevention Manager
- Partner with stores and leadership in developing and executing shrinkage prevention plans
- Testify in court on behalf of the company when summoned for criminal or civil proceedings
- Meet required minimum weekly hours (30-40 hours for full-time; 16-20 hours for part-time)
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment
- Valid asset protection or loss prevention licensing as required by provincial or local jurisdiction
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, and Excel (desirable)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and multiple locations within a market
