Role & Responsibilities

  • Safeguard store assets against theft and collaborate with the Leadership team to uphold operational controls.
  • Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and utilize CCTV to identify and deter theft.
  • Adhere to all legal and company policies regarding apprehensions and evidence preservation.
  • Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, and accident investigations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners, law enforcement, and mall security.
  • Testify in court for criminal or civil cases as required.
  • Provide training to new hires and ongoing employee training for loss prevention awareness.
  • Conduct store audits, safety inspections, and communicate findings to the Leadership team and District Loss Prevention Manager.
  • Assist with inventory preparation and execution of shrinkage prevention plans.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in asset protection or loss prevention within a retail environment.
  • Satisfy and maintain all licensing requirements as per local jurisdiction.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Skills

Strong written, verbal, interviewing, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques. Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel. Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work at multiple locations within a market.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field is required.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent.
