Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, proactive presence on the sales floor (approximately 75–80% of time) to deter theft, support client service and promote a safe environment.
- Implement and promote asset protection, safety and shrink-reduction strategies in partnership with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager.
- Monitor store activity using CCTV and reporting tools; investigate incidents and prepare audit reports for loss-prevention efforts.
- Respond to incidents and de-escalate conflicts professionally while prioritizing client and employee safety and preserving the customer experience.
- Execute audits, maintain compliance with asset protection policies and licensing requirements, and provide testimony in legal proceedings if required.
- Support multiple store locations as needed and participate in meetings and training to reinforce safety protocols.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
- Demonstrated understanding of retail operations, shrink management and safety procedures.
- Proven conflict de-escalation skills and ability to manage sensitive incidents with discretion.
- Comfortable using CCTV systems and reporting tools to investigate and document incidents.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and ability to build trust across teams.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and available to work nights, weekends and holidays; reliable punctuality and attendance.

Experience
1–2 years of experience in retail operations, loss prevention, hospitality or related customer-focused roles with responsibility for safety, security or shrink-reduction.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications in loss prevention, security or law enforcement preferred.
