Sephora seeks an Asset Protection Partner in San Marcos, TX — full-time hourly role ($23.00–$27.12/hr) safeguarding store assets and ensuring a safe client experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, proactive presence on the sales floor (75–80% of shift) to deter theft, support clients and ensure a safe environment.
- Support store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to implement shrink-reduction and safety strategies.
- Monitor store activity using CCTV and internal reporting tools; investigate suspected incidents and prepare loss-prevention reports.
- Respond to incidents and de-escalate conflicts professionally while prioritizing client and employee safety.
- Execute asset-protection audits, maintain accurate documentation, and prepare findings for management review.
- Adhere to all asset-protection policies, licensing requirements and local regulations; represent the company in legal proceedings when required.
- Provide flexible coverage across multiple locations as needed and meet scheduled shift obligations including nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
- Demonstrated understanding of retail shrink, safety protocols and store operations.
- Proven ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage sensitive customer interactions with professionalism.
- Comfortable using CCTV systems and loss-prevention reporting tools; strong attention to detail for investigations and audits.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform regular floor patrols.
- Reliable availability for a full-time schedule (30–40 hours/week), including peak retail hours, weekends and holidays.
Skills
Experience
1–2 years in retail operations, loss prevention, security, hospitality or a related field with hands-on experience in store-level safety, shrink reduction and incident response.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
