Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain visible store presence (approximately 75–80% of time on the selling floor) to deter theft, support client service and uphold a safe environment.
  • Monitor store activity using CCTV and company reporting tools; investigate incidents and losses, prepare audit documentation and maintain accurate reports.
  • Lead or participate in asset protection and safety meetings, trainings and initiatives in partnership with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager.
  • Respond to and manage incidents with professional de-escalation techniques, prioritizing safety and the client experience; represent the company in legal proceedings if required.
  • Implement and enforce asset protection policies, licensing requirements and shrink-reduction strategies; support multiple store locations as needed.
  • Support flexible scheduling and reliable coverage during peak retail hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
  • Proven ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage incidents while preserving a positive client experience.
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems, incident reporting tools and basic audit procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to build trust and collaborate cross-functionally with store leadership.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and to spend extended periods standing on the sales floor.

Experience

1–2 years in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention with demonstrable experience in loss mitigation, investigations and frontline incident management.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
