Sephora hiring Asset Protection Partner in San Jose, CA—$25–$29.50/hr, full-time retail security role with CCTV monitoring and loss prevention.
Role & Responsibilities
- Promote safety and awareness through participation in meetings and training to reinforce asset protection and safety protocols
- Maintain strong store presence by spending 75–80% of time on the selling floor to deter theft, support service, and ensure a safe environment
- Partner with store leaders and District Asset Protection Manager to align shrink reduction and safety initiatives
- Monitor store activity, utilize CCTV and reporting tools to identify and investigate losses
- De-escalate situations professionally while prioritizing safety and client experience
- Complete asset protection audits and prepare reports for leadership
- Adhere to all asset protection policies and licensing requirements
- Support multiple locations as needed and represent Sephora in legal proceedings when required
- Meet required minimum weekly shift hours (30–40 hrs/week) with availability during peak retail operations (nights, weekends, holidays)
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention
- Understanding of retail operations, shrink dynamics, and safety protocols
- Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across teams
- Demonstrated conflict de-escalation and communication skills
- Comfort with CCTV systems and reporting tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
