Sephora seeks an Asset Protection Partner in San Francisco — full-time hourly role ($26.25–$30.94/hr) responsible for loss prevention and store safety.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, proactive presence on the selling floor (75–80% of scheduled time) to deter theft, support service and uphold a safe environment for clients and employees.
- Monitor store activity using CCTV and reporting tools; identify, investigate and document incidents of loss or suspicious behaviour.
- Lead and participate in asset protection trainings and store meetings to reinforce shrink reduction and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to develop and implement shrink-reduction and safety initiatives.
- Respond to incidents and de-escalate conflicts professionally, ensuring client and employee safety and preserving the customer experience.
- Execute audits, prepare asset protection reports and maintain compliance with company policies and licensing requirements.
- Support operations across multiple locations as needed and represent the company in legal proceedings, including testifying in court when required.
- Adhere to flexible scheduling requirements, maintain punctuality and meet minimum weekly shift/hours (30–40 hrs/week for full-time).
Qualifications
- 1–2 years’ experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
- Demonstrated understanding of retail operations, shrink drivers and loss-prevention strategies.
- Proven conflict de-escalation skills and the ability to handle sensitive incidents with discretion.
- Comfortable using CCTV systems and loss-prevention reporting tools; able to conduct investigations and complete written reports.
- Strong verbal communication, attention to detail and ability to build trust across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Experience
1–2 years of relevant experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention with demonstrated exposure to shrink mitigation and incident response.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; training or certification in loss prevention or security is a plus.
