Sephora in Pleasanton, CA is hiring an Asset Protection Partner — full‑time, hourly $25–$29.50 to safeguard store assets and ensure client safety.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain a constant, high‑visibility presence on the sales floor (75–80% of scheduled time) to deter theft, support client service and ensure a safe environment.
- Partner with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to design and execute shrink‑reduction and safety initiatives.
- Monitor store activity using CCTV and company reporting tools; identify, investigate and document loss incidents.
- Respond to incidents with professional de‑escalation techniques, prioritizing client and employee safety and preserving the customer experience.
- Perform audits and prepare asset protection reports to track trends and support corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all asset protection policies, licensing requirements and legal obligations; represent the company and testify in court when required.
- Support multiple store locations as needed and participate in meetings and trainings to reinforce protocols and awareness.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years' experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
- Demonstrated ability to de‑escalate conflict and manage sensitive incidents with discretion.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and loss‑reporting tools; strong attention to detail in investigations and documentation.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to build trust across cross‑functional teams.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and meet punctuality/attendance expectations for scheduled shifts.
- Availability for flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holiday periods.

Experience
Minimum of 1–2 years in retail operations, hospitality, loss prevention, asset protection or a related customer‑facing role with demonstrated experience in incident handling and safety procedures.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in loss prevention, security or related fields preferred.
