Role & Responsibilities

• Maintain visible store presence on the selling floor 75–80% of the shift to deter theft, support client service and promote a safe environment.
• Monitor CCTV and use company reporting tools to detect, investigate and document inventory loss and suspicious activity.
• Partner with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to implement shrink-reduction and safety initiatives and deliver related training.
• Respond to incidents and de-escalate conflicts professionally while prioritizing client and employee safety; prepare incident reports and, if required, testify in court.
• Conduct regular audits, complete required documentation and ensure compliance with asset protection policies and licensing requirements.
• Support protective coverage across multiple locations as needed and participate in meetings to reinforce protocols and awareness.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
• Demonstrated ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage sensitive incidents with discretion and professionalism.
• Familiarity with retail shrink concepts, safety protocols and store operations.
• Able to meet Sephora’s scheduling needs, including nights, weekends and holidays, and maintain reliable attendance.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Skills

Experience

Minimum 1–2 years in retail operations, hospitality, security, loss prevention or a closely related role with direct exposure to store-level shrink control and incident handling.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in loss prevention, security or related fields preferred.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 21 to USD 24.75 per hour.
