Sephora — Asset Protection Partner in Ottawa, ON. Full-time loss prevention role focused on CCTV surveillance, investigations and shrinkage prevention.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive surveillance on the sales floor and monitor the CCTV system to identify, deter and, when necessary, apprehend individuals involved in external theft.
- Adhere to all applicable laws and Sephora policies concerning apprehensions, search and seizure, and the preservation of evidence.
- Prepare detailed incident reports for thefts, merchandise recoveries, accidents, audits and investigations; assist with testimony in legal proceedings when required.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with store leadership, local law enforcement, mall security and other retailers to support loss prevention objectives.
- Deliver new-hire and ongoing loss prevention training to store teams to maintain awareness and reduce shrinkage.
- Execute store self-audits, safety inspections and checklists; communicate findings to the store leadership team and the District Loss Prevention Manager.
- Support inventory preparation and partner with store leadership and District Loss Prevention to design and implement shrinkage prevention plans.
- Maintain required weekly shift commitments and be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Satisfy and maintain all required provincial or local licensing for asset protection roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and across multiple locations within the market.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in a fragrance-filled retail environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interviewing, listening and interpersonal skills.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1 year of asset protection / loss prevention experience within a retail environment; experience conducting investigations and working with law enforcement is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 25 to CAD 30 per hour.
