Asset Protection Partner at Sephora in North York, ON – CAD$25-$30/hr. Full-time retail security role focused on loss prevention and store asset protection.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and utilize CCTV systems to identify, observe, and apprehend or deter individuals committing external theft
- Prepare reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers
- Testify in court on behalf of the company in criminal or civil matters as required
- Provide new hire and continuous employee training on loss prevention awareness
- Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections
- Communicate audit findings to store leadership and District Loss Prevention Manager
- Assist with inventory preparation and process in partnership with store leadership
- Develop and execute shrinkage prevention plans with stores and district management
- Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable service to clients
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment
- Valid asset protection or loss prevention licensing as required by provincial or local jurisdiction
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in interviewing and active listening
- Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel (desirable)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Availability to work across multiple locations within a market
