Sephora New York seeks an Asset Protection Partner at 144 E 86th St — full-time loss prevention role, $25–$29.50/hr.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a visible floor presence (approximately 75–80% of time) to deter theft, support client service and reinforce store safety.
  • Partner with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to design and execute shrink-reduction and safety initiatives.
  • Monitor store activity using CCTV and reporting tools; conduct investigations into suspected loss and prepare audit reports.
  • Respond to incidents, de-escalate conflicts professionally, prioritizing safety and the client experience.
  • Enforce asset protection policies, licensing requirements and compliance protocols; represent the company when required, including court testimony.
  • Participate in meetings and trainings to promote awareness of safety protocols and continuous improvement of loss-prevention practices.
  • Support multiple locations as needed and maintain flexible availability during peak retail hours (nights, weekends, holidays).

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
  • Familiarity with CCTV operation and incident reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated conflict de-escalation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary store teams and leadership.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable availability for a 30–40 hour full-time schedule, including peak retail periods.
