Sephora New York (Harlem) is hiring an Asset Protection Partner — hourly $25–$29.50/hr to protect assets, monitor CCTV and support store safety.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a visible, proactive store presence (spending approximately 75–80% of time on the selling floor) to deter theft and support client service.
  • Monitor store activity using CCTV and reporting tools to detect, investigate and document inventory loss or safety incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and de‑escalate conflicts professionally, prioritizing client and employee safety and preserving the customer experience.
  • Partner with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to implement shrink reduction, safety initiatives and training.
  • Conduct audits, prepare asset protection reports and ensure compliance with company policies and licensing requirements.
  • Represent the company as required, including providing testimony in legal proceedings and supporting multiple locations when needed.
  • Participate in meetings and training to reinforce asset protection protocols and increase store awareness.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
  • Proven ability to de‑escalate conflict and manage sensitive incidents with discretion.
  • Comfortable operating CCTV systems and relevant reporting tools and preparing incident documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with store leadership and cross‑functional teams to reduce shrink and enhance safety.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and sustain long periods on the sales floor.
  • Availability to work a flexible retail schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable punctual attendance.

Experience

1–2 years in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention, with practical experience in incident response, CCTV monitoring and collaboration with store leadership.
