Sephora Canada seeks an Asset Protection Partner in Kelowna, BC to lead loss-prevention, surveillance and shrinkage-control operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct active surveillance on the sales floor and monitor CCTV systems to detect, deter and apprehend external theft while complying with all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Prepare clear, timely incident reports documenting thefts, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations and audit findings.
  • Collaborate with store Leadership, District Loss Prevention Manager (DLPM), local law enforcement, mall security and other retailers to prevent and resolve shortage incidents.
  • Deliver new-hire and ongoing loss-prevention training to store teams to raise awareness and reinforce best practices.
  • Execute store self-audits, safety inspections and inventory-preparation procedures; communicate findings and recommended corrective actions to leadership.
  • Support the development and execution of shrinkage-prevention plans in partnership with stores and the DLPM.
  • Provide testimony in criminal or civil proceedings when summoned and preserve evidence in accordance with legal and company requirements.
  • Maintain required weekly shift and hour commitments and be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of asset protection / loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
  • Satisfy and maintain all provincial or local licensing requirements for loss prevention/security personnel.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to conduct investigations, perform interviews and prepare professional incident reports.
  • Ability to maintain composure, deliver in-the-moment coaching and work collaboratively with store leadership.
  • Availability to work flexible hours across multiple locations within the market, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to perform routine stocking tasks.

Experience

Minimum three years of loss prevention or asset protection experience in retail, with demonstrable experience conducting investigations, liaising with law enforcement and preparing formal incident documentation.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 25 to CAD 30 per hour.
