Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible store presence (spending approximately 75–80% of time on the selling floor) to deter theft and support client service.
- Monitor CCTV and use reporting tools to detect, investigate and document losses and suspicious activity.
- Respond to incidents and de‑escalate conflicts professionally while prioritizing client and team safety.
- Partner with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to design and implement shrink reduction and safety initiatives.
- Conduct audits, prepare asset protection reports and ensure compliance with company policies and licensing requirements.
- Represent the company as required, including providing testimony in legal proceedings.
- Support multiple locations as needed and participate in meetings and training to reinforce safety protocols.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
- Demonstrated ability to de‑escalate conflicts and manage sensitive incidents with professionalism.
- Comfortable operating CCTV systems and other loss‑prevention reporting tools.
- Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across store teams and leadership.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and meet punctuality and attendance expectations.
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays (Full‑time: 30–40 hrs/week).
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of related experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention; demonstrated experience with CCTV monitoring, incident investigation and cross‑functional collaboration is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
