Sephora in Glendale, CA is hiring an Asset Protection Partner to safeguard store assets and ensure safety. Hourly role at $25–29.50/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, proactive presence on the sales floor (approximately 75–80% of scheduled time) to deter theft, support client experience and reinforce safety.
- Implement and promote Sephora’s asset protection and safety protocols; lead or participate in training and store-level meetings to raise awareness.
- Partner with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to align on shrink-reduction initiatives and operational priorities.
- Monitor store activity using CCTV and reporting tools; investigate losses, compile findings and prepare formal reports and audits.
- Respond to and de-escalate incidents with professionalism, prioritizing safety and the client experience; provide testimony in legal proceedings when required.
- Ensure compliance with company asset protection policies and any applicable licensing or regulatory requirements.
- Support multiple store locations as needed and perform other duties related to loss prevention and safety.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
- Working knowledge of retail operations, shrink drivers and safety best practices.
- Proven conflict de-escalation skills and the ability to manage difficult situations calmly.
- Familiarity using CCTV systems and loss-prevention reporting tools; strong attention to detail for audits and incident documentation.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and to be physically present on the sales floor for extended periods.
- Flexible availability for retail peak hours (nights, weekends and holidays) and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.

Experience
1–2 years in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention, with demonstrable experience in shrink prevention and incident response.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training preferred.
