Sephora Asset Protection Partner in Emeryville, CA—$25–$29.50/hr, full-time retail security and loss prevention role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Promote safety and awareness by leading and participating in asset protection and safety protocol training
- Maintain strong store presence, spending 75–80% of time on the selling floor to deter theft, support service, and ensure a safe environment
- Partner with store managers and the District Asset Protection Manager to align shrink reduction and safety initiatives
- Monitor and investigate losses using CCTV and reporting tools to identify discrepancies
- De-escalate incidents professionally while prioritizing safety and client experience
- Execute audits and prepare reports documenting asset protection efforts
- Adhere to all asset protection policies and licensing requirements
- Support multiple store locations as needed
- Represent Sephora and testify in court if required
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention
- Understanding of retail operations, shrink dynamics, and safety protocols
- Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across teams
- Strong conflict de-escalation skills
- Comfortable operating CCTV and reporting tools
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Availability during peak retail operations including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
