Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, proactive presence on the sales floor (approximately 75–80% of scheduled time) to deter loss and support client service.
- Monitor store activity using CCTV and reporting systems; investigate suspected losses and prepare incident reports.
- Partner with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to develop and implement shrink-reduction and safety initiatives.
- Lead and participate in training, meetings, and audits to reinforce asset protection policies and regulatory compliance.
- Respond to incidents, de-escalate conflicts professionally, and prioritize the safety and experience of clients and employees.
- Execute audits, compile documentation, and provide clear reporting on asset protection activities and outcomes.
- Support multiple locations as required and represent the company in legal settings, including testifying in court if necessary.
- Adhere to company policies, licensing requirements, and local laws governing asset protection and security operations.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years' experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention.
- Working knowledge of retail shrink drivers, safety protocols, and loss-prevention methodologies.
- Proven conflict de-escalation and incident-response capabilities.
- Comfortable using CCTV, incident reporting tools, and preparing investigative documentation.
- Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate across store teams.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and meet the physical demands of a retail environment.
- Availability for flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable punctuality and attendance.
- Willingness to support multiple locations and, when required, testify in legal proceedings on behalf of the company.

Experience
1–2 years in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention; demonstrable experience with loss-prevention tactics, CCTV monitoring, and incident management.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
