Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain strong store presence on the selling floor (75-80% of time) to deter theft, support customer service, and ensure a safe retail environment
- Lead and participate in safety meetings and training sessions to reinforce asset protection protocols and awareness among store staff
- Monitor store activity and utilize CCTV systems and reporting tools to identify, investigate, and document loss incidents
- De-escalate potentially volatile situations with professionalism and care, prioritizing safety and the client experience
- Collaborate with store managers and district asset protection leadership to develop and implement shrink reduction and safety initiatives
- Execute regular audits of store assets and prepare comprehensive reports documenting asset protection efforts and findings
- Maintain compliance with all asset protection policies, licensing requirements, and legal obligations
- Support multiple store locations as needed and represent Sephora in court proceedings if required
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of professional experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention
- Solid understanding of retail operations, inventory shrinkage dynamics, and workplace safety protocols
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across organizational teams
- Proven conflict de-escalation and communication skills
- Comfort and competence with CCTV systems and asset protection reporting tools
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Excellent attention to detail and written/verbal communication abilities
Skills
Experience
1–2 years of professional experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention is required. Candidates should demonstrate a working understanding of retail shrinkage, store operations, and workplace safety protocols.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent education is required; additional education in security, business, or hospitality is valued but not mandatory.
