Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible floor presence (75–80% of time) to deter theft, support customer service and promote a safe shopping environment.
- Partner with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to design and implement shrink-reduction and safety initiatives.
- Monitor store activity using CCTV and company reporting tools; investigate suspected loss incidents and prepare incident reports.
- Respond to incidents, professionally de-escalating conflicts while prioritizing client and employee safety and preserving evidence.
- Conduct audits related to asset protection, complete required documentation and deliver timely reports to management.
- Support multiple store locations and provide testimony in court on behalf of the company when required.
- Participate in training and meetings to reinforce asset protection protocols and safety awareness.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years' experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
- Demonstrated understanding of retail operations, shrink dynamics and safety practices.
- Proven conflict de-escalation skills and ability to manage sensitive incidents with professionalism.
- Proficiency with CCTV systems and corporate reporting tools; strong investigative and audit capabilities.
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and to stand and patrol the sales floor for extended periods.
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule including nights, weekends and holidays (30–40 hrs/week).
