Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a visible store presence (approximately 75–80% of scheduled time on the sales floor) to deter theft, reinforce safety and support client service.
  • Use CCTV and company reporting tools to monitor activity, identify losses, and conduct investigations into incidents or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and de‑escalate conflicts professionally while preserving client experience and employee safety.
  • Partner with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to develop and implement shrink‑reduction and safety initiatives.
  • Lead or participate in meetings and training to reinforce asset protection protocols and heighten team awareness.
  • Conduct audits, prepare loss prevention reports, and ensure compliance with company asset protection policies and applicable licensing requirements.
  • Provide flexible support across multiple store locations and, when necessary, represent the company in legal proceedings (testify in court).
  • Adhere to punctuality and scheduling requirements; maintain availability for peak retail hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
  • Demonstrable understanding of retail shrink, safety practices and loss prevention methodologies.
  • Proven conflict de‑escalation skills and the ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Comfortable and experienced using CCTV systems and company reporting tools for investigations.
  • Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail and the capacity to build trust across cross‑functional teams.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform typical retail duties.
  • Reliable availability for a full‑time retail schedule (30–40 hrs/week), including nights, weekends and holidays.
