Sephora Asset Protection Partner in Burnaby, BC. Full-time retail security role protecting store assets with loss prevention expertise and CCTV surveillance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and utilize CCTV systems to identify, observe, and apprehend or deter external theft
- Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers
- Deliver new hire and continuous employee training programs focused on loss prevention awareness
- Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections; communicate findings to store leadership and District Loss Prevention Manager
- Assist store leadership with inventory preparation and process execution
- Partner with stores and District Loss Prevention Manager in developing and executing shrinkage prevention plans
- Testify in court on behalf of the company in criminal or civil cases as required
- Adhere to all applicable laws and Sephora policies concerning apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment
- Current and valid asset protection or loss prevention licensing as required by British Columbia or local jurisdiction
- Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel (desirable)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Physical capability to bend and stretch for stocking shelves
- Ability to work in a fragrance-filled environment
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in identifying and deterring external theft, conducting surveillance, and maintaining store security protocols.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment required.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, with easy access to Vancouver.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 25 to CAD 30 per hour.
