Sephora Bethesda Row is hiring an Asset Protection Partner in Bethesda, MD — full-time hourly role focused on store safety and loss prevention.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible presence on the selling floor (approximately 75–80% of shift) to deter theft, support client service, and promote a safe environment.
- Partner with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to design, implement, and monitor shrink-reduction and safety initiatives.
- Monitor and investigate suspicious activity using CCTV and internal reporting tools; prepare loss-prevention audits and detailed incident reports.
- Respond to incidents and de-escalate conflicts professionally while prioritizing client and team safety and preserving the customer experience.
- Represent the company when required, including providing testimony in court and ensuring compliance with asset protection policies and licensing requirements.
- Participate in meetings and training to reinforce safety protocols and continuous improvement of asset protection practices.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, hospitality, sales, asset protection, or loss prevention.
- Proven ability to de-escalate conflict and handle sensitive incidents with professionalism and discretion.
- Familiarity with CCTV operations and incident reporting tools; ability to conduct audits and prepare reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform duties across the sales floor for extended periods.
- Availability for flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable punctuality and attendance.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of 1–2 years in retail, hospitality, sales, loss prevention, or a related operational role with hands-on exposure to shrink reduction, incident response, or customer-facing security duties.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 23 to USD 27.12 per hour.
