Sephora is hiring a full-time Asset Protection Associate for its West Covina store, working 30–40 hours per week. The role safeguards store assets, supports a safe and inclusive environment, and applies safety and shrink strategies; hourly pay is $25.00–$29.50, depending on qualifications, experience and other legitimate position or geographic factors.
Role & Responsibilities
- Promote safety and awareness by leading or participating in meetings and training that strengthen asset protection and reinforce safety protocols.
- Maintain a strong store presence, spending 75–80% of working time on the sales floor to deter theft, support service and maintain a safe environment.
- Partner with store leadership to align shrink-reduction and safety initiatives.
- Use CCTV and reporting tools to identify and investigate losses.
- De-escalate incidents professionally, prioritizing safety and the client experience.
- Conduct audits and prepare reports on asset protection efforts.
- Comply with asset protection policies and licensing requirements.
- Support multiple locations as needed.
- Represent Sephora and testify in court on the company’s behalf if required.
- Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts and hours; work 30–40 hours per week in this full-time role.
- Be available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
- Understanding of retail operations, shrink and safety.
- Ability to build trust and collaborate across teams.
- Conflict de-escalation skills.
- Comfort using CCTV and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb.
