Sephora is hiring a full-time Asset Protection Associate in Queens to safeguard store assets, support a safe environment, monitor and investigate losses, respond to incidents, and conduct audits and reporting. The permanent role requires 30–40 hours per week, with availability for nights, weekends, and holidays; pay is $25.00–$29.50 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and other legitimate business factors.
Role & Responsibilities
- Promote safety awareness by leading or participating in meetings and training that strengthen asset protection and reinforce safety protocols.
- Maintain a visible presence in the store, spending 75–80% of working time on the sales floor to deter theft, support service, and help maintain a safe environment.
- Collaborate with store managers to align shrink-reduction and safety initiatives.
- Use CCTV and reporting tools to identify and investigate losses.
- De-escalate incidents professionally, prioritizing safety and the client experience.
- Conduct audits and prepare reports on asset protection efforts.
- Comply with asset protection policies and licensing requirements.
- Support multiple locations as needed.
- Represent Sephora and testify in court on the company’s behalf if required.
Qualifications
- At least 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention.
- Understanding of retail operations, shrink, and safety.
- Ability to build trust and collaborate across teams.
- Conflict de-escalation skills.
- Comfort using CCTV and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb.
