Sephora seeks a full-time Asset Protection Associate in New York City to safeguard store assets, support a safe and inclusive environment, and help implement safety and shrink strategies. The role is permanent, requires 30–40 hours per week, and pays $25.00–$29.50 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience and other position- or location-specific factors.
Role & Responsibilities
- Promote safety awareness and reinforce asset protection protocols through meetings and training.
- Spend 75–80% of working time on the sales floor to deter theft, support service and maintain a safe environment.
- Collaborate with store leaders to align shrink-reduction and safety initiatives.
- Use CCTV and reporting tools to identify and investigate losses.
- De-escalate incidents professionally, prioritizing safety and the client experience.
- Conduct audits and prepare reports on asset protection efforts.
- Follow asset protection policies and licensing requirements.
- Support multiple locations as needed.
- Represent Sephora and testify in court on the company’s behalf if required.
- Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts and hours; full-time schedules are 30–40 hours per week.
- Be available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection or loss prevention.
