The Asset Protection Associate safeguards Sephora’s assets, supports a safe and inclusive store environment, and works with store leaders and the District Asset Protection Manager on safety and shrink initiatives. The role is permanent and full-time, with a 30–40-hour weekly schedule; it includes floor presence, incident response, investigations, audits, reporting, and support for multiple locations as needed.
Role & Responsibilities
- Safeguard Sephora’s assets and support a safe, inclusive environment for clients and employees.
- Help implement safety and shrink strategies with store leaders and the District Asset Protection Manager.
- Maintain a strong store presence, spending 75–80% of working time on the selling floor to deter theft, support service, and maintain a safe environment.
- Partner with managers to align shrink-reduction and safety initiatives.
- Use CCTV and reporting tools to identify and investigate losses.
- De-escalate incidents professionally, prioritizing safety and the client experience.
- Conduct audits and prepare reports on asset protection efforts.
- Follow asset protection policies and licensing requirements.
- Support multiple locations as needed.
- Represent Sephora and testify in court on the company’s behalf if required.
- Lead or participate in meetings and training to increase asset protection and reinforce safety protocols.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention.
- Understanding of retail operations, shrink, and safety.
- Ability to build trust and collaborate across teams.
- Conflict de-escalation skills.
- Comfort using CCTV and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lb.
- Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts and hours; full-time schedule is 30–40 hours per week.
- Available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays; punctuality and consistent attendance.
