Sephora Asset Protection Associate role in Avon, IN distribution center; $19.50/hr, full-time security and loss prevention position with benefits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Proactively manage and monitor comprehensive physical security efforts and access controls across all zones of the distribution center, ensuring a safe and secure operational environment
- Execute screening procedures for all inbound and outbound personnel using advanced metal detection technology, handheld devices, and visual observation to prevent unauthorized access or loss
- Conduct regular and thorough inspections of property perimeters and internal building controls to identify and address potential vulnerabilities in physical and systemic security measures
- Respond swiftly and effectively to active threats or security incidents impacting the facility or associates, employing de-escalation techniques and physical intervention when warranted
- Administer the facility's identification badging system, including creating, issuing, and managing access credentials for all associates
- Oversee inbound/outbound truck control processes, verify appointments, conduct thorough check-ins and check-outs, and maintain logs to ensure supply chain integrity
- Support investigations related to theft, loss, and security breaches by leveraging CCTV footage and gathering evidence for accurate reporting
- Contribute to the development and implementation of shrink reduction programs and foster a culture of security awareness among associates
- Represent the company professionally in legal proceedings, providing accurate information and testimony as required
- Perform regular security audits and checklists, documenting findings and communicating insights to leadership for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of dedicated experience in Loss Prevention or security, with strong preference for distribution center environment experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal, active listening, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to make rapid, sound decisions and maintain composure in high-pressure situations
- Proficiency in de-escalation techniques with a track record of resolving conflicts calmly and effectively
- All required guard/security certifications; compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations as required
- Physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of dedicated experience in Loss Prevention or security roles, with strong preference for candidates experienced in fast-paced distribution center environments. Experience with advanced surveillance technologies, access control systems, and threat mitigation is highly valued.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent; all required guard/security certifications must be obtained and maintained in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position is USD 19.50 per hour.
