Sephora seeks Accounts Payable Accountant in Saran, France – manage European supplier accounting, invoicing & payments in a permanent, hybrid role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the accounts payable ledger of several European subsidiaries within the European Accounting Department
- Ensure compliance and reliability of accounting operations related to purchasing, invoicing, and payments
- Review and post supplier invoices and related automated transactions in compliance with accounting, tax, and purchasing regulations
- Monitor approval workflows and ensure processing deadlines are met
- Review and control payment runs
- Monitor supplier account reconciliations and balance clearance activities
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to invoice processing
- Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to action plans
- Monitor accruals and provisions in collaboration with local Controlling teams
- Review balances of Accounts Payable–related accounts
- Participate in periodic reviews conducted by External Auditors and Internal Audit
- Analyze supplier accounts and balances
- Handle supplier requests and follow-ups
- Resolve discrepancies in compliance with company procedures and deadlines
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in the deployment of innovative automation solutions
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (minimum Bac +2/3)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Accounts Payable position
- Preferably international experience within a multinational organization
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset
- Responsiveness and autonomy
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to thrive in a changing and evolving environment
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounts payable or supplier accounting, ideally within an international or multinational organization.
Education
Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (minimum Bac +2/3, equivalent to 2–3 years of higher education).
