Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver a personalized, high‑quality shopping experience that anticipates customer needs and drives repeat business
- Recommend and locate merchandise based on customer preferences; maintain thorough product and inventory knowledge
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS register and adhere to checkout and cash‑handling standards
- Promote loyalty programs and Saks credit card offerings to support customer acquisition and retention goals
- Maintain selling floor and fitting room standards, execute markdowns and visual merchandising to brand guidelines
- Support Asset Protection procedures, report shortages/theft, and follow compliance protocols
- Participate in store events and special projects, and complete ad‑hoc tasks assigned by store leadership
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail, customer service or sales experience with a proven sales track record
- Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver excellent service
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Comfortable operating retail equipment including POS register, radios, ticket scanners and sensor removers
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in retail, customer service or a sales environment is required; demonstrated sales results or quota attainment is strongly preferred.
